Key Responsibilities
• Own the day-to-day accounting function across multiple entities, including general ledger, accounts
payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting
• Lead and execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and eliminations across related entities
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and provide insights on business performance and trends
• Oversee cash management activities, including monitoring liquidity and supporting budgeting and planning discussions
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records on a cash basis across multiple entities
• Establish and maintain effective accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external accountants, tax preparers, auditors, and other financial advisors
• Support ownership and management with ad hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, workflows, reporting, and operational efficiencies
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online required
• Experience managing monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Demonstrated experience preparing financial statements and management reporting
• Experience with multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions preferred
• Experience working in a small business, entrepreneurial, or closely held company environment preferred
• Experience with Bill.com or similar AP automation tools preferred
• Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze financial data
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
Preferred Experience
• Background in the arts, creative, media, consumer products, licensing, or related industries
• Experience with royalty accounting, licensing revenue, or inventory-based businesses
• Prior experience working directly with founders, owners, or executive leadership teams
