This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship
Learn about the film industry and film distribution by helping Strand Releasing get its films and videos out to the world. Strand has been a leading voice in independent distribution for 25 years, having released nearly 300 titles, such as Mysterious Skin, Edge of Seventeen, Party Monster, Wild Reeds, The Edge of Heaven, re-releases of The Graduate and Jean-Luc Godard's Contempt, and the 2014 Academy Award nominee for Best Foreign Language Film, The Missing Picture. We have an exciting line-up for this summer that you can be a part of!
Interns help in a variety of departments on many different projects:
Coordinate publicity materials
Assist with press and acquisition screenings
Help grow home video sales
Assist the theatrical department with shipments of materials
Keep the website current
Administrative support and research
and more!
Requirements:
Must be able to receive school credit
Strong organizational and prioritization skills
Some office experience preferred
Proficiency with Word, Excel and FileMaker Pro
Familiarity with Photoshop and Website design is a plus
A love of film
Flexibility and commitment a must!
Commitment:
10-12 hours per week during regular business hours
Extra evening and weekend hours, depending on events and screenings
