Who We're Looking For:
We want upbeat, self-motivated, and reliable fast learners who are ready to pitch in and grow. You should be professional but real, creative but organized, and able to keep a sense of humor while getting things done. If you're persistent, detail-oriented, and love both the business and creative sides of entertainment - you'll fit right in.
This role is based in NYC and works closely with our Head of Comedy, helping build out our live comedy presence across the city. You should be just as comfortable in a club at 10pm as you are answering emails at 10am.
What You'll Be Doing:
• Helping set up and run comedy shows - venue coordination, lineup logistics, night-of support
• Scouting talent at NYC comedy clubs, open mics, and showcases
• Engaging directly with comedians and creators - building relationships on our behalf
• Promoting talent and projects using industry databases, social media, and other platforms
• Handling communication with casting directors, production offices, and clients
• Researching upcoming projects and opportunities
• Scheduling meetings and auditions
• Supporting day-to-day operations (emails, calls, document creation, and more)
• Acting as a friendly and professional point of contact for talent and partners
• Jumping in wherever needed to keep things moving!
What You Need:
• Solid writing skills and professional communication (especially over email and phone)
• Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Suite, basic online research, AI, film and image editing, etc.)
• Great judgment and the ability to problem-solve independently
• Good multitasking instincts and a calm attitude under pressure
• Flexible availability - hours will shift between standard business hours and evenings/nights, since scouting and show support happen at comedy clubs after dark
• Comfort attending live shows around the city and being out in the NYC comedy scene
• Ability to stay organized and manage your own time
• Eligibility for academic credit through your college/university
• Availability for 20-30 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months
Internship Details:
• Based in NYC - in-person work required, including night hours for shows and scouting; daytime hours for office/admin work
• 20-30 hours per week, split between business hours and evenings depending on the week's schedule
• Real tasks, real experience - no busy work
