Seasonal Partnership Account Coordinator
Job Purpose
SXSW is seeking a Seasonal Partnership Account Coordinator to support the Account Management team in delivering a seamless, organized, and high-quality client experience throughout the SXSW & EDU planning and event lifecycle. This role provides administrative, logistical, and onsite support across client onboarding, internal stakeholder coordination, venue operations, and event execution. Working closely with Account Managers, the Account Coordinator helps maintain accurate client information, track deliverables, coordinate event requirements, and help to address day-to-day needs. During SXSW & EDU, the role provides hands-on onsite support for load-in/load-out, client check-in, signage, registrations, receptions, and other event operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Assist Account Managers with onboarding, organizing client data, and maintaining accurate records, contacts, and deadlines.
• Track outstanding client deliverables and upload assets to appropriate digital channels.
• Provide administrative and logistical support leading up to SXSW & EDU.
• Support Account Managers and internal teams during site visits, venue walkthroughs, and planning meetings.
• Prepare onsite materials, credentials, signage, and check-in logistics.
• Serve as a flexible resource during high-workload periods to maintain responsive coordination.
• Proactively communicate potential issues to protect the client experience and maintain smooth operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure sponsorship commitments and client expectations are met effectively.
On-site Event Responsibilities
• Provide on-site support during SXSW & EDU activations, events, and client engagements as assigned.
• Support hotel and venue load-in/load-out operations, assisting Account Managers with logistical coordination and client needs.
• Assist with happy hours, receptions, and event door staffing, including guest check-in, badge scanning, attendance management, and coordination with onsite teams.
• Support signage deployment, including placement, verification, and removal of client and event signage as directed.
• Assist with client check-in and onsite hospitality as assigned, ensuring clients are welcomed and supported throughout their event experience.
• Provide general onsite administrative and operational support to Account Managers as needed.
• Assist with registration and credential distribution as directed.
Qualifications & Skills
Qualifications include:
• One to three years of previous experience in a customer service, account manager, sales, or client-facing role, required.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in dynamic settings, including high-stakes events.
• One to three years of previous experience in a customer service, account manager, sales, or client-facing role, preferred.
• Previous experience working with various clientele (different industry verticals, levels of seniority, startup, enterprise, etc.), preferred
• Previous experience with Google Workspace, Airtable, HubSpot, and FileMaker is a plus.
• Knowledge of SXSW

• Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to lift to 10 pounds occasionally, as needed.
• Operation of standard office equipment, including computers, phones, and printers.
• May require occasional bending, reaching, kneeling, or climbing stairs.
• Ability to work outdoors, including exposure to varying temperatures or noise levels.
Work Location & Schedule
The position is full-time and located in Austin, Texas. Core business office hours are from 10 am-6 pm Monday through Friday. You must be available to work additional hours from January through March, including evenings and weekends. You must also be available for the March event, which will have extended on-site working hours.
