This is a Full Time Job
TV Post Production helms and supervises the Television post process for Sony Pictures' live-action, scripted shows. Our process begins while a show is being written and carries through delivery to the Network and Studio. We work closely with several teams across Sony Pictures Television such as TV Production Accounting, Finance, Production, Business Affairs, and TV Mastering ensuring every department receives what is needed.
Core responsibilities:
• Manage the required episodic and seasonal wrap paperwork deliverables throughout the post-production process for all SPT shows.
• Coordinate & finalize deals for post team roles such as Assistant Editors and Post Production Assistants.
• Ensure all new hires for our shows receive their start paperwork promptly and verify union membership.
• Lead wrap calls to ensure all post-production tasks are completed effectively and on schedule.
• Communicates with the leads on our Animated projects to set expectations of what deliverables various Sony teams will require.
• Develop & refine internal tracking systems to enhance efficiency within the department.
• Maintain VFX & Post Cost trackers that reflect up-to-date budgets from the various shows.
• Create VFX vendor contracts for each show.
• Update the Combined Schedule weekly to reflect the latest cut dates & changes.
• Oversee documents within Scenechronize to ensure they are properly organized, accessible, and up to date.
• Keep the Post Production Guide up to date.
• Provide the latest scripts to the head of the department each week.
• Act as the department's first point of contact, handling incoming calls professionally and ensuring effective communication.
Requirements
• 0–2 years of experience in post-production, television production, or an administrative/support role (internships included)
• Basic understanding of the television or post-production process is a plus
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• High attention to detail, especially when handling documents, tracking information, and data entry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); willingness to learn new systems and tools (e.g., Scenechronize)
• Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor when working with internal teams and external partners
• Ability to take direction, stay organized, and follow through on assignments in a fast-paced environment
• Interest in post-production and the television industry
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Team-oriented mindset with a proactive and reliable work ethic
• Bachelor's degree in Film, Television, Communications, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
