Manager, Performance and Operation Analysis

The Content Mastering & Delivery Group (CMDG) is a department within the Distribution & Content Services Department at Sony Pictures responsible for servicing Motion Picture and Television Group titles in support of distribution operations, including localization, distribution mastering, and delivery of content to the Studio's various clients, customers, exhibitors, and specialty vendors.

CMDG is looking for a point person to drive development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive performance metrics framework to capture and share data in support of CMDG's business clients in making better decisions and strengthen collaboration with them. This person will report to the VP of Operations & Strategy and will support all teams within CMDG.

Responsibilities:

• Working proactively with line of business (LOB) and finance departments to assist in capturing operational and performance data
• Developing standardized metrics templates for all processes supported by CMDG, including reports on demand, performance, and other trends
• Data normalization and enrichment to ensure accurate operational reporting and tracking
• Analysis of demand, performance, and financial trends to proactively develop recommendations for CMDG and its LOB clients
• Proactively developing data visualizations and presentations to facilitate understanding of operational and financial data of CMDG
• Working collaboratively with media technology teams to ensure optimal data capture and recommendations for systems enhancements to improve quality of reporting and insights
• Acting as a liaison with Sourcing and Procurement to ensure Source-to-Pay best practices within CMDG
• Managing vendor rate cards and ensuring they are implemented within operational systems

Skills
/Background:
• General understanding content distribution and the role of an organization like CMDG within a studio environment
• Familiarity with managerial accounting practices and budgeting in support of service delivery and project management
• Experience in outsourcing or shared services governance, including performance management and/or performance metrics analysis
• Proficiency in complex data analysis, market research, and data visualization methodologies and tools such as Tableau, Excel, and Power BI
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience preparing executive presentations using MS Suite and other tools
