Layout Technician

This is a Full Time Job

As a Layout Technician, you will collaborate with Layout Artists to pre-visualize sequences, setting up the files and solving technical problems.

Responsibilities
• Set s up files for the Layout Artists .
• Model s low polygon sets .
• Solve s technical problems .
• Do es simple scripts .
• Make s simple viewport FX .
• Do es simple Rigging .
• Work s with internal tools to publish the shots .
• Keeps up on current artistic methodologies and on technology trends and tools that best suit the production and the company in the development of a stronger creative and technical environment.
• Breaks down the scenes properly and manages own work.
• Collaborates with other team members, when necessary.
• Follows the Supervisor's and Lead´s guidance.

Requirements
• 3-5 years of professional experience in VFX or animation industries.
• At least 1 year of experience in the animation industry .
• Strong knowledge of Maya is necessary .
• Demonstrable artistic skills including a strong sense of composition and perspective, the ability to create atmosphere and good understanding of editing .
• Knowledge of animation is a must .
• Understands cameras, staging, composition, pacing, timing, general film-making concepts, both in animation and live action contexts .
• Comfortable creating basic assets .
• Respect for the procedures and requirements of the studio, production and pipeline .
• Programming in Python .
• Medium -high English level.
• Spanish desirable .
