Digital Content Creator, Amazing America

This role can be based anywhere in the contiguous United States. Fully Remote and Hybrid in office options available.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a naturally curious creator who will independently pitch, shoot, produce, and edit original content in all formats (static graphics, carousels, video, etc.) for YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. We are particularly interested in candidates with a background in journalism and experience presenting on-camera. You will be one of the faces of the Amazing America brand and play a central role in discovering and sharing uniquely American stories found in communities across the nation.

Responsibilities include:
Pitch, shoot and edit engaging content across multiple digital and social platforms.
Contribute to editorial meetings and proactively develop story ideas aligned with the Amazing America brand content.
Develop new shows, franchise concepts, and platform-native formats designed to reach audiences and grow the brand.
Confidently lead and host long-form YouTube content through engaging storytelling, strong on-camera presence, and audience retention.
Travel across the country to uncover and report on uniquely American stories.
Capture high-quality video and audio in both studio and field environments, often working independently on location.
Write scripts, interview questions, social copy, and promotional content optimized for platform-specific audiences.
Research and scout locations, interview subjects, and obtain all necessary permissions to shoot.
Work with the Publishing Operations/Community Manager to maintain and update the editorial calendar and content pipeline.
Review social and digital analytics and translate them into actionable steps to increase engagement and content performance.
Represent the Amazing America brand on camera with authenticity, curiosity, humor, and professionalism.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
5+ years of writing/producing original content in print, video, and social.
3+ years of hands-on video production experience including shooting, lighting, sound recording & editing, and ability to operate all associated equipment (i.e., DSLR or iPhone capture)
On-camera experience required. Prior experience hosting, interviewing, or presenting on camera is essential.
Impeccable spelling and grammar, a deep understanding of social media trends and what works on each platform, vertical video editing skills, and the ability to shoot well-composed videos on a phone.
Social Media expert with extensive familiarity with all platforms including YouTube, FB, IG, TikTok, etc., including an understanding of and passion for audience analytics.
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, etc.), and other creative software.
Must be highly collaborative, motivated, extremely organized, and come to the position with a uniquely creative mind.
Must be comfortable with ambiguity and change that may come about as our team evolves over time.
