Production Accountant, Feature Animation

The Production Accountant is responsible for managing the financial operations of the film. They oversee production budgets, process payroll and invoices, monitor expenditures, prepare financial reports, and help ensure the film stays within its approved budget while complying with accounting policies.

Key Responsibilities
Manage the film's production budget and cost reports.
Process payroll for cast, crew, and contracted vendors.
Review and process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.
Monitor departmental spending and identify budget variances.
Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for producers.
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
Coordinate with department heads regarding production expenditures.
Ensure compliance with tax, accounting and financial policies.
Assist with financial forecasting and production audits.
Support the Producer and Production Manager with budget planning.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
Experience in film, television, and/or animation accounting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet applications.
Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
