North American Publicist

Season of Mist is seeking a full-time North American Publicist. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are a must, as is experience with promoting rock, hard rock, and metal music. Other requirements include computer skills, i.e. strong use of Microsoft Office Suite, etc. and experience with social media management. The candidate must be well organized, able to multitask, capable of working independently and committed to finding new opportunities for our artists.

Responsibilities include organizing and carrying out album and tour publicity campaigns via print, ''new media'', etc., scheduling interviews, creating press releases, construction and maintenance of active mailing lists, creation of artist bios, and more. We strongly prefer you come with existing contacts in place; from Decibel to NPR to Pitchfork and beyond. You must be comfortable pitching stories and working some evenings / weekends coordinating on-site press at shows.

You will work closely with our marketing and digital/web promo persons to enable band-specific marketing campaigns as well as label marketing campaigns as a whole.

The position is in-house and in-office (not remote).

Salary is commensurate with experience
