Who we're looking for…
RWS Entertainment Group is currently seeking a Development & Casting Intern (Theatre).
About the role…
Reporting to the Manager, Commercial Theatre Ventures, the Development & Casting Intern will provide general support by assisting in the daily operations of the Theatrical & Development Department and Binder Casting.
What's expected…
The Development & Casting Intern will assist in the daily operation of the department. Daily tasks may include the following:
-Personal assistant work in scheduling and coordinating appointments and meetings with high-level writers, creatives, agents, and producing partners.
-Provide personal assistance in extensive email correspondence with industry professionals, as well as detailed note taking in all on-site creative meetings.
-Assist with research for new and existing projects.
-Provide general support for readings, workshops, and developmental labs.
-Organize script and project submissions.
-Assist with pre-screening new script and project submissions.
-Assist in the timely and accurate flow of information in/out of the department to all internal and external players.
-Assist with casting sessions and 'offer-only' negotiations.
-Provide administrative support as requested.

What you bring…
-Strong interest/experience in live theatre, preferably in theatrical development, casting and/or producing
-Advanced written and verbal English communication skills
-Must be proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office applications
-Outgoing and unflappable personality, outstanding demeanor and ability to remain calm while juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
-Self-starter, positive attitude, loyalty, passion, integrity, discretion
The deal…
-Work five (5) full business days per week
-Office hours are 10am-6pm
-Stipend and unlimited monthly MetroCard or college credit
-Starting in September and running through November/December 2019
