The Role
We are seeking an experienced Podcast Producer with talk show, late-night and/or podcast experience for Dogs and Coffee. This role is perfect for a producer who thrives on building engaging segments and episodes around high-profile guests, shaping engaging narratives, and balancing entertainment with mission-driven impact. You’ll be part researcher and episode producer—helping bring each episode to life from concept to distribution.

Responsibilities
Show Development & Research

Develop and pitch episode themes, segments, and story arcs tailored to celebrity and influencer guests.

Research guest backgrounds to prepare thoughtful questions, riffs, and cultural references.

Collaborate with hosts to refine episode outlines, talking points, and key beats.

Production & Logistics

Coordinate all aspects of production: scheduling, pre-interviews, and on-site or remote recordings.

Work closely with editors and post-production teams to ensure high-quality audio/video for episodes and social clips.

Manage timelines and deliverables for weekly episode releases.

Guest Booking & Relationships

Identify and book celebrity and influencer guests aligned with the show’s brand and mission.

Handle pre-interview prep and act as the liaison between guests, agents, and the hosts.

Creative Contribution

Bring a “talk show” sensibility—helping create natural banter, teases, reveals, and engaging audience hooks.

Suggest recurring segments, games, or storytelling devices to keep episodes dynamic.

Qualifications
3+ years of experience as a podcast producer, TV producer, or in a comparable talk show role.

Strong background in booking and working with celebrity and influencer talent.

Exceptional research and storytelling skills; ability to spot compelling angles.

Experience managing production logistics and overseeing post-production workflows.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills with on-air talent, guests, and crew.

Passion for animal rescue and advocacy a huge plus.
