Weekend Editor (Journalism)

This is a Full Time Job

This is a full-time position that reports to the digital director.

What you'll do:
• Working Wednesday through Sunday, you’ll be responsible for publishing 10-12 digital stories every Saturday and Sunday
• Assign and edit both weekly franchises and trending news items
• Work with the digital director to conceive new weekend story franchises
• Work with a trending news writer to assign and publish short news items on Saturday and Sunday

Requirements:
• At least 5 years working on a digital editorial team; fluency in digital storytelling
• A passion for and experience in the lifestyle space
• Demonstrated experience as a skilled and thorough editor
• Ability to toggle easily between short news items and long-lead features

Typical wage range: $60k - $75k.

Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits.
