Licensing & Royalties Intern

RightsFlow is a leading provider of a music-licensing and royalty payment technology platform for online music services, record companies, distributors and artists. The company specializes in obtaining bulk mechanical, DPD, and ringtone licenses including streaming, tethered, and limited downloads rights. The proprietary ''FLOW'' system developed by RightsFlow allows them to license, account, and pay royalties on behalf of clients quickly and accurately while ensuring rights-holders are paid for the use of their material. RightsFlow services over 1,500 clients for mechanical, DPD and interactive streaming licensing.
We are looking for someone to help create and build the infrastructure involved in licensing and administering mechanical royalties. The ideal candidate is someone with an extensive drive and desire to work within the music licensing. They will work day to day on creating a new business model within the company and become a core component of its execution and development. The successful candidate will receive a great experience learning the day to day operations of a music publishing company as well as meeting key industry executives in the field.

Responsibilities:
· Create and build a music licensing & royalties database
· Research publishing data from ASCAP, BMI, SESAC and international
· societies
· Research song information- composer, publisher etc…
· Administer royalties & licenses with publishers
Required Experience:
· Enrolled student (MBA or MA preferred)
· Strong research and Windows Office skills
· Accounting skills preferred
· Desire to work in the music industry
· Ability to thrive in a startup environment
