DESCRIPTION:
This unpaid internship is structured as a learning and professional-development experience. Interns receive training, supervision, and feedback from agency representatives while gaining exposure to talent agency operations and developing foundational skills transferable to a variety of careers.
Interns may receive supervised training and experience in:
• Talent submissions and professional casting platforms
• Entertainment-industry and client communications
• Talent contracts and agency processes
• Marketing, branding, and social media
• Business operations and entrepreneurship fundamentals
• Professional meetings, workplace communication, and business etiquette
• Organization, time management, problem-solving, and other transferable professional skills
Interns may also identify areas of particular interest they would like to explore during the program.
EDUCATIONAL & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:
Interns will have opportunities to:
• Learn how a professional talent agency operates
• Gain familiarity with casting platforms and the talent submission process
• Develop professional written, telephone, and meeting skills
• Learn foundational principles of operating a business
• Strengthen leadership, communication, organization, and decision-making skills
• Participate in supervised agency activities and industry discussions
• Receive ongoing guidance and feedback from agency representatives
• Build professional relationships with fellow interns and industry professionals
Intern activities are designed for the intern's education and professional development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic proficiency with Google Drive/Google Workspace
• Professional, organized, dependable, and willing to learn
• Ability to multitask and participate professionally in meetings and calls
• Interest in entertainment, business, marketing, communications, law, or related fields preferred
• Entertainment or casting-platform experience is a plus, but not required
INTERNSHIP DETAILS:
Compensation: Unpaid educational internship
Hours: Up to 16 hours per week (must be available to attend virtual weekly meetings on Mondays)
Location: Remote with flexible scheduling
Duration: Up to 6 months or another defined educational period
Academic Credit: RTA will cooperate with college/university requirements for students seeking academic credit.
The internship supports educational and professional development. Interns receive training and supervised experience. Participation does not create an expectation of compensation or guarantee future employment with RTA.
