
Accounts Receivable Coordinator

This is a hybrid position that requires working from our office in Santa Monica, CA one day a week (Thursdays).
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, the Accounts Receivable Coordinator will be responsible for the accounts receivable functions for the Recording Academy and NARAS Properties, Inc. You hold a bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting, finance, economics, or a related business field and are a self-motivated team player with interest in pursuing a career in the accounting field.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Input invoices with proper general ledger coding.
• Maintain billing and collection practices for accounts receivable.
• Research and input cash receipts data into Workday.
• Receive and e-deposit checks.
• Set up and maintain customer records including invoices and contracts.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and well-organized electronic files of AR records.
• Research and resolve customer credit card disputes through American Express and Merchant Services.
• Provide customer service and research assistance to various departments and affiliated entities as it relates to accounts receivable.
• Assist in interpreting and resolving accounts receivable issues with clients.
• Provide accounts receivable reports as requested.
• Reconcile assigned GL accounts.
• Assist with performing month-end and year-end closing as needed.
• Crosstrain with the accounts payable team and other members of the Finance & Accounting department to maintain proficiency in accounts payable functions.
• Work events for the Recording Academy and its related entities.
• Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related business field.
• Previous experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general bookkeeping preferred.
• Non-profit and/or entertainment industry a plus.
• Workday experience a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office with strong working knowledge of Excel.
• Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts with accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across all levels of the organization.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Salary/Benefits

- 26.10
per hour
