Principal, Social Growth & Amplification Strategy, Prime Video Us & Amazon Mgm Studios
We are seeking an experienced Principal to lead social growth strategy and operations across Prime Video US and Amazon MGM Studios. This role owns seven interconnected workstreams that collectively define how we goal, amplify, optimize, monetize, and operationalize social and creator marketing across the organization. This is not a support function - it is a strategic leadership role with direct ownership over goal-setting, investment decisions, platform relationships, new capability development, and cross-org alignment. The right candidate thrives in ambiguity, builds from zero, makes high-judgment calls with significant business impact, and operates as both strategist and executional decision-owner.
Key job responsibilities
• Social Goaling & Performance Strategy: Own all social goaling and tracking across title, event, and project-level initiatives. Lead quarterly and annual goal-setting, optimization, and cross-functional alignment with Programming, Media, Brand, and Studios teams. Define how success is measured across the social organization.
• Organic & Creator Boosting: Own end-to-end organic social boosting strategy and execution. Lead creator boosting including agency consolidation, measurement, and optimization to drive earned engagement at scale. Make real-time optimization decisions in a high-ambiguity environment with no existing playbook.
• Paid Social Creative Optimization: Stand up and own a new paid social creative optimization function. Lead creative rotation, testing frameworks, and performance benchmarking across all titles with paid media support.
• Platform Relationships: Build and own platform relationships with Meta, TikTok, and Google/YouTube. Launch first-of-their-kind programs and activate opportunities that drive outsized organic reach.
• Ad Sales Enablement: Partner with advertising sales to define packages that commoditize organic social posts and creator content as scalable brand partner inventory, while protecting organic integrity.
• Cross-Org Strategic Alignment: Serve as the strategic bridge between Social, Programming, Marketing, and Theatrical. Operationalize decision-making processes so leadership has full context and impact assessment before ratifying direction.
Qualifications
• 8 years of professional non-internship marketing experience
• Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
• Experience communicating results to senior leadership
• Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
• Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
• Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
• Experience leading complex programs with significant change impact across organizational boundaries
• Experience in entertainment, streaming, or media marketing
• 6 years in social media marketing, creator marketing, or digital media strategy
• Experience with social media platforms (Meta, TikTok, YouTube) at both the advertising and partnership level
• Experience leading agency relationships including procurement, RFP processes, and consolidation
• Experience with goal-setting frameworks, measurement methodology, and performance optimization at scale
• Experience making high-judgment decisions in ambiguous environments with limited precedent
• Experience developing new functions or capabilities from scratch
• Experience presenting strategy, results, and recommendations to VP leadership
• Proficiency in social analytics platforms and data-driven decision-making
