PMC: Senior Director, Events
The Sportico team is hiring an entrepreneurial Senior Director of Events to lead the strategy, growth, and execution of one of the company's most important business platforms.
The Events Senior Director will own Sportico's expanding portfolio of live experiences–from developing new conference franchises and executive summits to driving sponsorship revenue, ticket sales, programming, audience growth, and long-term business strategy. The Senior Director will have a vision to create unique experiences in what has become a crowded marketplace. Working across editorial, sales, marketing, operations, and executive leadership, the Senior Director will create industry-defining events that convene the world's most influential owners, commissioners, investors, athletes, executives, policymakers, and innovators.
The successful candidate understands that exceptional events are both world-class editorial experiences and scalable businesses. They are equally comfortable selling a presenting sponsorship, recruiting a Fortune 100 CEO to speak, building a five-year growth strategy or launching an entirely new event franchise.
Sportico values in-person collaboration and team cohesion, employees work onsite 4 days a week and 1 day remotely with a focus on maintaining a vibrant and inclusive culture.

• Build and maintain relationships across venues, production vendors, and agencies.
• Negotiate contracts and manage third-party partners to deliver events on brand and on budget.
• Own event budgets and P&L, including forecasting, cost tracking, and managing spend to deliver events on budget while maintaining quality.

The ideal candidate is a builder. They recognize opportunities before competitors do and understand how to transform emerging trends into must-attend industry events.
