Summary:
PICTURESTART is looking for an Executive Assistant to Erik Feig, founder & CEO of PICTURESTART. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day administrative functions to a highly prolific producer, studio exec, and head of the company, including scheduling, rolling calls, arranging travels, and corresponding with the rest of the company The ideal candidate for this position has exemplary planning and time management skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate in a resourceful and self-directed manner. They should also have a great creative instinct and an eagerness to learn more about film and TV business. This is not a beginner desk so please only apply if you've had relevant entertainment experience.
Responsibilities:
*Responsible for proactively managing and coordinating daily schedule, phone calls, contacts, travel arrangements, internal and external meetings
*Arranges and schedules significant volume of meetings
*Arranges domestic and international travel accommodations
*Process expense reports in accordance with established policy guidelines tracking expenses and following up in a timely manner
*Create, manage and maintain internal and competitive tracking grids for the department i.e. submissions, talent lists and market intel
*Proactively participate in reading creative submissions, sourcing new projects and providing feedback on material
Qualifications
*Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
*Minimum 1 year of development or current assistant experience. Agency experience preferred, but not required.
*Demonstrated experience taking detailed notes and extracting action items; ability to understand priorities and adjust schedules accordingly
*Exemplary interpersonal skills including a professional in-person and virtual presence

At the 2023 Sundance, PICTURESTART's project THEATER CAMP, directed by Molly Gordon and Nick Lieberman and starring Ben Platt, Molly Gordon, Noah Galvin, and Jimmy Tatro, was awarded U.S. Dramatic Special Jury Award for an Ensemble. The film is sold to Searchlight and will be released theatrically..
PS is currently in post production on a variety of projects, including SWEETHEARTS starring Kiernan Shipka and Nico Hiraga, directed by Jordan Weiss; raunchy comedy STRAYS voiced by Will Ferrell and Jamie Foxx, and directed by Josh Greenbaum; and the ambitious video game adaptation BORDERLANDS starring Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, Jamie Lee Curtis and Jack Black and directed by Eli Roth. On the TV side, PICTURESTART is currently in post-production on GREASE: RISE OF THE PINK LADIES, based on the iconic musical GREASE.
PICTURESTART also has a rich and diverse slate of projects in various stages of development, across film, TV and audio: the highly-anticipated Sue Mengers biopic starring Jennifer Lawrence; the action-packed epic true story about Japan's first African samurai, YASUKE; the high-school-cheating caper remake of the Thai hit BAD GENIUS; and UNPREGNANT, a teen road-trip comedy based on the acclaimed novel written by Jenni Hendriks and Ted Caplan, which premiered on HBO Max in September 2020 - just to name a few!
