THE ROLE
Interns at Persistent play a crucial role in script coverage, industry-related tracking, and research, among other tasks. Please note that this internship is remote and for school credit only. As part of our selection process, we conduct interviews and review sample script coverage. The internship will span the duration of the Fall semester and include weekly 30-minute Zoom check-ins to discuss coverage and project assignments. script coverage and other related tasks will be assigned on a week-to-week basis after said Zoom check-ins are completed, with interns estimated to spend roughly 10 hours per week undertaking them (students based in LA can have some in-person opportunities, depending on schedules).

Persistent is a literary-based management and production company founded in 2024 by Marc Manus, a former award-winning photojournalist and USC film school graduate. The company represents a diverse array of talented writers and directors in both film and television, drawing on Marc's two decades of industry experience, which includes positions at notable management firms such as Zero Gravity and World Builder Entertainment. Under the mentorship of manager Cathryn Jaymes, known for her work with Academy Award-winning writer/director Quentin Tarantino, Marc has developed a rich history in artist representation. At Persistent, he nurtures a select roster of creators, guiding them through their book, film, and television projects with major networks, streamers, and studios. His producing credits include JOSIE, starring Sophie Turner, and Netflix's horror-thriller DON'T MOVE, in collaboration with Sam Raimi and Hammerstone Studios.
