Overview:
The Subscriber Growth Forecasting Manager is in charge of the execution, maintenance, and analysis of forecasting models supporting subscriber acquisition, churn, retention, and lifetime value (LTV). This role works closely with Data Science, Marketing, Finance, and BI teams to deliver accurate, timely, and decision-ready forecasts that inform marketing investments, promotions, and growth initiatives.
The Manager plays a hands-on role in forecasting, pacing, reforecasting, and performance analysis, ensuring forecasting outputs are aligned with business goals and execution realities.
Responsibilities:
• Execute Paramount subscriber forecasts, including acquisition starts, churn, and short- and long-term retention, in close collaboration with Data Science, Marketing, and Finance teams
• Run and maintain cohort-based analyses to assess subscriber behavior, retention curves, and lifecycle dynamics
• Collect, validate, and analyze forecasting inputs across acquisition, retention, and partnership channels
• Perform variance analysis versus plan, identify drivers of performance, and surface insights to support optimization decisions
• Write, run, and optimize SQL queries to extract and examine large datasets supporting forecasting and performance analysis
• Support development and maintenance of forecasts for new starts, churn, and subscriber base in partnership with Data Science and Paid Media teams
• Produce weekly and monthly reporting on pacing, actuals vs. goals, and forecast accuracy
• Partner with BI teams to support automation of recurring reports and dashboards
• Support promotional scenario analysis and post-promotion performance assessments against business case goals
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field
• 5 years of experience in forecasting, analytics, performance marketing, or strategic analysis within subscription or digital media businesses
• Robust knowledge of subscriber funnels, retention, churn, and forecasting methodologies (including variance and scenario analysis)
• Advanced Excel and SQL skills; experience with BI/data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Experience analyzing large datasets and translating insights into clear recommendations for cross-functional stakeholders
• Familiarity with multi-platform products (mobile, web, OTT)
Additional Qualifications
• Experience in digital streaming or subscription media
• Exposure to predictive modeling, machine learning concepts, or tools such as Python or R
• Solid communication and stakeholder management skills
• Comfortable operating in dynamic, evolving environments
• Interest in user experiences driven by algorithms and recommendation systems.
