Overview:
The Manager, Social Media is the strategic lead for assigned titles on the Paramount Social team, owning the end-to-end social strategy for their title portfolio and translating marketing priorities into fan-forward campaigns with a defined strategic and creative POV.
This role sits at the center of day-to-day planning and execution, spanning social media campaigns, creative ideation, and production. You'll work closely with partners across Marketing, Creative, Publicity, and other internal and external stakeholders to bring each title to life on social.
The ideal candidate has a solid background in digital marketing and/or social media, a natural instinct for building cross-divisional partnerships, and a genuine interest in entertainment.
This position reports to the Director, Social Media on the P team and is based out of our New York City office.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Craft data-driven social strategies for campaigns through platform-native creative and ongoing fan engagement
• Build and maintain social content calendars per title in Airtable, covering both launch campaigns and always-on publishing across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, and YouTube
• Anticipate cultural trends and identify how assigned IP can authentically participate to drive earned media and deepen fan relationships
• Consistently refine and optimize content and formats based on social insights and evolving best practices
• Ideate talent-based and footage-based content that ladders up to overall campaign creative, and work alongside producers and editors through the production and post-production process
• Interface with talent and Executive Producers as needed to present creative ideas, shoot concepts, and social strategy
• Collaborate closely with Paramount teams across Marketing, Creative, Publicity, and other areas
• Bring a creative mind to frequent brainstorming sessions to pitch new social content ideas that you will lead from ideation to execution
• Oversee the paid social creative delivery and approvals process, ensuring all content is on-brand, platform-optimized, and delivered on time
• Lead and mentor Coordinators on day-to-day publishing, execution, and creative development
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
• 5 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, television, and/or entertainment
• Demonstrated track record of developing and executing innovative social/digital marketing campaigns
• Familiarity with tactics used to build fan communities
• Proficiency in social content development, execution, and best practices across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and X
• Experience with Airtable or comparable asset management tools
• Comfortable with MS Office suite, Google suite, and Slack
Additional Qualifications
• Deep knowledge of existing and emerging social platforms
• Solid project management skills with the ability to manage multiple titles and timelines simultaneously
• Top-notch written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Knowledge of scripted television production and the content marketing lifecycle
• A cooperative, team-focused approach with robust cross-functional collaboration instincts
