At Paramount, we bring the world’s stories to life across iconic brands and platforms. Our Global Controllership organization plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of our financial reporting. We are currently looking for a Manager, Corporate Accounting to join our team in Budapest.
In this role, you will manage offshore close execution and ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of financial reporting processes, while appropriately escalating complex or non-routine accounting matters to onshore leadership.
What you will do
• Prepare quarterly rollforwards and disclosures for financial reporting
• Perform balance sheet and P&L validations and reconciliations across systems
• Manage master data requests from the corporate accounting group
• Compile data for related-party disclosures for financial reporting and proxy purposes
• Resolve open balance sheet and P&L issues
• Compile, validate and monitor departmental accruals
• Maintain Board of Director expense tracking
• Prepare and maintain monthly debt rollforwards, interest expense schedules and related disclosures
• Record 401(k) plan non-hedge activity
• Coordinate contractual obligations disclosures
• Participate in SOX testing and support audit requests
• Review and escalate complex or non-routine transactions to onshore management
• Review work prepared by the Budapest Senior Analyst, Corporate Accounting
• Support special projects as assigned
What we are looking for
• BSc or MSc degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 6 years of relevant post-qualification experience across accounting functions
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards (US GAAP / IFRS) and general accounting principles
• Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to take initiative
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal (B2/C1 or above)
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
• Strong teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills
