We are currently looking for an RTR Manager, Programming Accounting International to join our Budapest team and support global licensed programming transactions across international markets.
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you will lead a team while acting as a key partner to Finance stakeholders across the business. Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading, coaching and mentoring a team of 1–7 professionals, supporting both performance and career development
• Acting as a key point of contact for Finance Managers, Directors and Controllers across supported divisions
• Reviewing and approving journal entries within assigned limits
• Ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) requirements
• Supporting external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
• Managing and supporting transitions of new activities into the team
• Handling ad hoc requests from internal stakeholders and leadership
You will also oversee the team’s day-to-day accounting activities, including:
• Monitoring contractual obligations related to programming license agreements
• Reviewing and approving vendor invoices for licensed content
• Managing monthly amortization of programming assets
• Performing liability reclassifications (short-term vs long-term)
• Preparing and posting journal entries
• Managing disposals of fully amortized assets
• Preparing monthly reconciliations and roll-forward reports
• Supporting financial statement disclosures and reporting
• Maintaining commitments and contingencies schedules
What we’re looking for
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and RTR processes
• Proven experience in team leadership or people management
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix, international environment
• Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
• A proactive mindset with a focus on process improvement and efficiency
