CBS Chicago, the #3 market station in the Paramount portfolio of television stations, is looking for a dynamic, innovative and experienced meteorologist to join our First Alert Weather team.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and deliver live or recorded weather reports and forecasts for linear, streaming and digital platforms. Deliver severe weather reporting as needed.
• Analyze weather data and synthesize the information into clear, easy-to-understand graphics.
• Present weathercasts from our VR weather sphere, the news studio or on-location.
Requirements:
• A degree in Atmospheric Science or Meteorology
• Must be skilled with telling a comprehensive and clear weather story, especially during extreme weather events
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule.
• Must be skilled at posting weather-related information on social media channels
• Must have 5 years of related experience
• NWA and/or AMS Certified meteorologist preferred
This is a union-represented position.
