The CBS Stations’ Local Ad Sales team is responsible for driving all local revenue growth across all Paramount Global streaming & digital assets, as well as the 27 owned & operated CBS Television Stations. This team collaborates across Paramount Global and CBS Stations divisions, providing thought leadership that drives the local sales GTM strategy, innovation opportunities, training & development, and revenue generation.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are looking for exceptional candidates for the Account Executive, New Business, to prospect and secure new business representing the Paramount Streaming portfolio of digital & streaming assets inclusive of Paramount , CBS, Pluto TV, and more. This position will report directly to the Vice President, Business Development - Local Digital Sales.
ROLE DETAILS:
The Account Executive, Business Development will be focused on Local Market & Regional business development representing the Paramount Streaming & Digital portfolio of Paramount brands to achieve Local sales goals.
A self-starter who will prospect, qualify, and generate sales revenue from advertisers and agencies that have not historically been active with Paramount.
Effectively research and cultivate new business clients creating a revenue pipeline with advertisers, agencies, & partners.
The AE, BD will work across Sales, Marketing, Pricing & Yield teams manage business from prospecting to close and merchandising to generate relationships for repeat business.
The AE, BD is someone excited by the ever-changing digital & streaming landscape, with a passion for managing and developing business. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, and should be proactive, creative, organized, and committed to finding effective approaches.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
• Prospect, qualify, and cold call potential clients and agencies to activate across Paramount digital properties.
• Work with clients and agency partners to develop impactful digital solutions.
• Set sales calls as a digital expert and work in tandem with Account Managers to compose media plans and develop sales presentations
• Be an expert in all stages of workflow, understand systems & processes, and be able to apply this knowledge to advise Account Managers & clients, managing campaign expectations both internally & externally
• Advise a support team that helps monitor digital campaign pacing and efficiency to ensure campaign delivery and re-merchandising of campaigns
• Collaborate across Paramount Global teams to build revenue opportunities for strategic packaging and alignment with corporate initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS:
What you bring to the team:
You have -
• 5 years of business development experience in advertising/media, with streaming sales experience preferred (experience across multiple buying lanes a plus)
• Excellent sales skills, including: business development, consultative sales approach, presentation abilities, confident negotiator, and post-sale re merchandising
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to think creatively
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills
• Strong analytical foresight and ability to communicate effectively across multiple skill-levels
• Team-first approach with a passion for creating an inclusive, diverse culture that inspires creativity and collaboration
• Dedicated and driven work ethic
• Highly proficient in PowerPoint and Excel
You might also have -
• BS / BA degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
• Understanding of the following applications is a plus: Salesforce, Operative, GAM, Google Analytics, Freewheel, or other web related applications
