Overview and Responsibilities:
We are looking for a savvy, upbeat professional with a minimum of two years of experience for the role of Sr. Analyst, of Account Planning & Strategic Analysis!
The Sr. Analyst will be supporting a portfolio of physical retail accounts for the Home Entertainment division of Paramount Pictures. This role will support the day-to-day functions and processes of the physical retail planning team and help lead special projects as needed. The position relies heavily on quantitative, analytical and reporting skills. Tasks include reporting against key performance metrics (consumer spend, shipments, returns, trade spend), assisting in product assortment decisions, developing pricing/life cycle management strategies and supporting the team in giving to top line revenue and share growth across retail accounts.
Experience in reporting, and bottoms-up planning in a SKU intensive retail environment is a plus!
This position requires cross functional interaction with Sales, Marketing, and Operations. Successful candidate will have a passion for entertainment products, and shown written/verbal communication skills. This individual will build sales reporting summaries with large amounts of operational data sets to assess and review performance of Paramount products against the industry as well as last year account actuals. They must be proactive, well organized, detail oriented and be able to perform a variety of tasks under strict deadlines.
Experience with retailer systems data visualization tools is a strong plus (i.e. Tableau, Looker, DOMO, etc).
• Partner with Planning Lead, Sales, Brand, & Marketing to help report against last year’s consumer spend for major physical retail accounts
• Maintain promotional trackers for all major retail partners by reporting actuals vs. forecast â€'' providing insights into consumer spend, trade spending, gross revenue, returns exposure, etc
• Develop & maintain weekly/monthly account specific sales reporting, help identify impact on retailer KPI’s, and support the planning leads in developing future looking what if scenarios & impact to the business while giving to activities that drive profitability metrics
• Support in analyzing industry data for share performance by tracking activity at major accounts and providing insights into shift on a monthly basis
• Design and develop new reporting and dashboards to support forecasting, planning, and performance measurement with an eye towards data visualization and automation
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of sales planning, strategic analysis, and/or financial planning experience
• Excellent Excel & PowerPoint skills
• Strong background in, Tableau, RetailLink, Data Warehouse, & working with large data sets
• Experience in business reporting & analyzing revenue drivers for business partners, and, analyzing customer profitability and promotional efficiency desired
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Excellent communications skills with all levels of an organization and across geographies
• You are comfortable with ambiguity, a fast pace and changing priorities
