Fall/Winter Intern - Production

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

Internship Start Date/Season: First week of September (subject of discussion)
Internship Duration: 6 months (3-month minimum)
Time/Days Required: 25 hours/week
Workplace Requirements: Hybrid + In-Person (In-office)

We're looking for a highly motivated, organized, and curious Production Intern to join our team for the Fall/Winter semester. This is a hands-on internship for someone who genuinely wants to learn how a production company operates. You'll work closely with our producers and creative team both in the office and on productions, gaining experience that goes far beyond a traditional internship. We're looking for someone who takes initiative, enjoys solving problems, and isn't afraid to jump in wherever needed. This internship is unpaid and intended for students receiving academic credit. Interns who assist on production shoots will have opportunities for paid on-set work, depending on the project.

You'll work directly with producers, creatives, and clients, gaining hands-on experience in commercial production, creative development, pitching, and studio operations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist producers and creative team with day-to-day production tasks
Support pre-production planning for commercial and film shoots
Help build creative presentations, pitch decks, and treatment documents
Conduct production, talent, location, and visual research
Assist with office management and administrative projects
Support operations at Residency Studio
Assist producers in coordinating production logistics and vendor outreach
Assist producers in production calls and communicate with team membors
Help organize production documents and schedules
Assist on set during commercial and branded productions
Support post-production organization and project wrap-outs
Every week is different-one day you may be researching directors or locations, the next assisting on a commercial shoot, helping prepare a pitch, or supporting a client production.

Preferred Qualifications
While previous production experience is not required, ideal candidates may be:
Current college student or recent graduate
Pursuing Film, Media, Communications, Advertising, Marketing, Design, or related fields
Interested in building a career in production or creative operations
Skills that are helpful include:
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Google Workspace
ChatGPT and Claude
Canva, Keynote, or Adobe Creative Suite
Strong visual research skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
