DESCRIPTION:
Are you passionate about film and want to get real-world film publicity experience?
The selected candidate(s) will publicize both the event and its brand as well as select features and special series, including:
• Writing press releases
• Liaising with film directors and actors
• Issuing media alerts
• Coordinating the Red Carpet
The successful candidate will have a background, either academic or professional, in media relations, strong writing skills, and the ability to persuade.
The position is available immediately and will end on Nov. 30th (approximately 3 months).
The internship is hybrid, i.e. largely remote (from any location in the U.S.) but attendance required at the 5 days of the festival itself (Nov. 5-9). There are no set office hours, but 6-8 hours per week is required. Assignments are made on a weekly basis.

Ojai Film Festival is a nonprofit media arts organization dedicated to supporting independent cinema and serves as a leading showcase of such films in Los Angeles. Located in the picturesque town of Ojai, 30 miles south of Santa Barbara and 45 miles north of Los Angeles, the festival features a 5-day event where dozens of films of all genres make their West Coast theatrical premieres.
