This is a Freelance Job
Seeking a Gaffer for a horror comedy film shoot filming from April 30th-May 24th 2026 filming in the Los Angeles area filming Thursdays-Sundays. Must provide own equipment. Must be willing to attend 1-2 production meetings with other crew members beforehand to plan shoot days. You will have a team of interns assisting you with lighting set up and take down.
The project is a 16 day shoot filming Thursdays-Sundays over the course of four weekends with day and night shoots taking place on Thursday and Friday with evening/night shoots taking place on Saturday and Sunday.
Looking for someone who is collaborative and is willing to give feedback and input but whose overall goal is to help me bring my vision to life and support me. How easy you are to work with is just as important to me as how talented you are. Reel of prior work required. The project we are filming is a feature version of a short film which was in an official selection at the Oscar-Qualifying LA Shorts Fest in 2024.
