PLEASE NOTE: This is a project / limited term position with an estimated duration of up to 12 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.
As an Associate Media Operations Specialist, you will perform a variety of media operations tasks. These tasks will encompass Media Ingest, Records, Live Streaming, Quality Control, and Media Asset Management as well as basic support functions for the Newsroom Content System.
Responsibilities:
• Record / Ingest Content into servers
• Quality control video and audio signals for live productions
• Monitor and fulfill media ingest requests
• Monitor/manage media asset management system
• Route audio and video signals in preparation for all live productions
• Troubleshoot transmission issues during live production in a timely manner
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in multi-media, video, sound-music, television production environment & projects
• Fundamental understanding of Audio/Video signal flow
• Working knowledge of video/audio file formats; basic video editing a plus
Desired Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent years of relevant experience
• Robust interpersonal skills for a diverse and energetic newsroom
• Self-starter, capable of managing tasks efficiently, able to self-manage with a vested attitude
• A cool, level-headed individual who works well under the pressures of live television
• Basic time management skills working under tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, verbal, and messaging
• Ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure
• Strong attention to detail
