This is a Full Time Job
NBC News is seeking a Supervising Producer to join TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a project-based position with an estimated duration of 6 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables are completed.
Job Duties:
• Lead the sourcing and booking of lifestyle and human-interest stories, including relationships, wellness, parenting, pop culture, food, travel, and viral trends
• Review, edit and sign-off on scripts; serve as the primary approver of cut spots
• Oversee day to day show content for all lifestyle and human-interest segments including concept, production elements and script approvals.
• Organize brainstorm sessions and evaluate pitches
• Oversee and maintain the daily guest schedule, ensuring editorial balance
• Oversee editorial content for commerce and integrated sales segments
• Identify and develop stories with an eye toward future trends
• Manage a team of producers, associate producers and researchers
• Serve as leader/mentor in the newsroom
Qualifications
• 5 years of experience in editorial and show production at the network level, preferably with daytime television
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience
• Demonstrate strong knowledge and interest in news and current events
• Must have strong writing skills, research skills and editorial judgment
• Must be willing to work in NYC
• Must be willing to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news
• Knowledge of NBC News Policies and Guidelines and Practices

Additional Requirements:
• Hybrid: this position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
