Who are we hiring?
The Executive Security Support/Protection Officer is primarily responsible for providing safe, secure, and reliable transportation for the corporation’s highest-level executives (the principal) on a daily basis. In addition, this role supports fleet operations by overseeing the maintenance, readiness, and overall management of company vehicles. The Executive Security Support/Protection Officer also performs document courier services, office administrative functions, and provides additional support to the principal as directed.
What will you do?
• Provides logistical support, transportation and protection of Executive/client, focusing on CEO and Chairman.
• Responsible for performing security advances of all business and event locations to be visited by the principal to ensure the personal protection and safety of the executive.
• Provide support and protection to visiting CEO, guests and high-profile clients.
• Assist Manager in vehicle selection process, procurement of new assets, etc.
• Execute proactive measures to ensure the safety of the client; i.e. advance work, research, collection of applicable information.
• Ability to conduct counter surveillance activities in the vicinity the client site and along the route.
• Provide vehicular escort services to client and family members.
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the vehicle (interior and exterior).
• Ability to check traffic, road conditions and plan alternate routes to ensure an on-time arrival.
• Maintains a travel log and any additional billing information/notes as needed.
• Ability to drive out of state when necessary while keeping in constant communication with dispatch.
• Perform other general security duties as needed to support the Threat Management division.
What do you need to succeed?
• The ideal candidate will have extensive prior law enforcement and/or corporate security experience, substantial executive chauffeur experience and be extremely familiar with the New York City/Tristate area.
• Strict confidentiality, professionalism, dependability and situational sensitivity are essential.
• Executive Protection experience is required.
• The ideal candidate must be highly flexible, stress-tolerant, and motivated, with an ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
• Experience managing a highly changeable calendar with extreme tact and diplomacy is essential.
• Candidates must show demonstrated experience interfacing with high level executives from diverse arenas (C-Suite Executive relations is essential), excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Able to schedule and manage intricate travel arrangements and anticipate all contingencies.
• Candidates should be well-organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task with a track record as a strategic thinker capable of foreseeing impact of simultaneous projects.
• Strong judgment, decision making, time management, and prioritizing skills. Must be energetic, positive, outgoing, and resourceful.
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Must be highly responsive to emergencies in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
• Possess exceptional attention to detail and strong follow-up skills necessary.
• Candidates who have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
Special requirements
• Must be licensed to carry.
• Must pass physical fitness examination administered by the company.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• This position requires a valid New York State driver’s license.
• Candidate must be flexible with client and driving assignments based upon need.
