The Operations Day Crew Lead is responsible for the daily execution of arena operations and event conversions for games, concerts, and special events. This role leads crews through fast-paced setup and breakdown activities, ensuring event spaces are prepared efficiently, safely, and to specification.

Responsibilities:
• Lead and coordinate daily crew operations to ensure timely and efficient event conversions, including setup and teardown of equipment such as risers, staging, basketball floor, hockey glass, chairs, tables, pipe and drape, and other items as needed.
• Supervise and assist with ice maintenance tasks, including Olympia operation, ice edging, painting ice, and related duties.
• Oversee the maintenance and readiness of NBA Basket Stanchions.
• Direct and support the changeover crew in preparing the facility for events and games, ensuring all tasks are completed to standard.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment; proactively identify and address safety concerns.
• Interpret and communicate floor plans, designs, and layouts to crew members to ensure event arrangements meet client specifications.
• Manage the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of event items, including flooring, portable chairs, operable walls, barricades, staging, tables, and other furnishings and equipment.
• Train and mentor crew members on proper equipment handling and safety procedures.
• Safely operate and oversee the use of equipment, including pallet jacks, material-handling carts, and dollies, to transport items throughout the arena.
• Ensure compliance with all MSE policies and procedures related to risk management, safety, and emergency protocols.
• Utilize hand tools safely and effectively, including drills, circular saws, and other equipment.
• Monitor crew performance, provide feedback, and raise issues to management as needed.
• Serve as the point of contact for day crew operations during assigned shifts.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• 3 years of experience in Operations preferred.
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in Microsoft Office and 24/7 CMMS work order systems.
• Experience in working basketball, concerts, and hockey events.
• Adequate knowledge of Windows 10, Microsoft Office, and Adobe.
• Previous changeover experience in an arena, stadium, or concert hall.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours at a time, kneel, stoop, climb stairs and reach/lift above head.
• Able to regularly lift and carry a minimum of 75 lbs.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime, and as needed. Primary shift is overnight.
