This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship
Position Summary:
The Communications Intern supports the day-to-day operations of the Communications Department, as directed. The person selected for this position is expected to complete the duration of the internship program from February 23rd, 2026 - October 30th, 2026. You must be available during this time frame on a full-time basis.
Essential Functions:
• Assist Communications Department with focus on Internal and Corporate Communications functions.
• Develop, draft, and distribute internal communications including newsletters, announcements, intranet content, and leadership messages.
• Support the planning and execution of employee engagement initiatives such as town halls, recognition events, and volunteer opportunities.
• Maintain and update internal communication channels to ensure employees stay informed and connected.
• Collaborate with departments across the organization to ensure consistent, engaging, and timely communication.
• Support communications and media relations efforts for the Miami Marlins Foundation, including drafting press releases, media advisories, media pitches, and event recaps.
• Assist in coordinating media opportunities, community coverage, and storytelling around Foundation programs and events.
• Support organizational announcements, key initiatives, and internal alignment efforts.
• Assist with communications reporting, tracking, and metrics.
• Attend weekly Communications Department meetings and actively participate by sharing ideas and feedback.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Extremely organized, detail oriented, accountable, and self-sufficient.
• Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Possess excellent computer skills that include, but are not limited to, Word, Excel, Desktop Publishing (InDesign).
• Ability to work during normal business hours, nights, weekends, and occasional holidays, with an emphasis on game-day responsibilities

Desired Qualifications
• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program during the program term, or have completed a degree within the past twelve (12) months
• Demonstrated interest in business operations and/or the sports industry
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Ability to work a variable schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and home games as needed
• Commitment to the full program duration (February 23 – October 31, 2026)
Job Questions:
