The Manager, DTC Growth & Acquisition will be responsible for driving subscriber growth, audience expansion, and revenue generation for Marlins.tv.
This position will work cross-functionally to ensure that all content, campaigns, and distribution strategies are aligned toward one core objective: growing the Marlins.tv subscriber base and increasing the value of the Marlins' digital audience for both direct revenue and sponsorship monetization.
Core Responsibilities
1. Subscriber Acquisition Strategy
• Own end-to-end acquisition strategy for Marlins.TV
• Build and optimize the fan funnel:
• Awareness ? Engagement ? Conversion ? Retention
• Identify and prioritize high-value audience segments
• Develop go-to-market plans for key moments throughout the season
2. Paid & Owned Media Strategy
• Lead paid media strategy across
• Optimize CAC (customer acquisition cost) and ROAS
• Oversee budget allocation and performance optimization
• Align owned channels (email, app, web, social) to drive conversion
3. Conversion Optimization
• Optimize landing pages, sign-up flows, and subscription UX
• A/B test messaging, offers, and creative
• Improve trial-to-paid conversion rates
• Partner with product/tech teams on user journey improvements
4. Content-Led Growth Strategy
• Partner with Content/Creative teams to:
• Identify high-converting content formats
• Build acquisition-focused content funnels
• Develop content specifically designed to drive subscription
• Ensure content strategy aligns with conversion goals, not just engagement
5. Data & Performance Analytics
• Own acquisition and funnel performance reporting:
• CAC /Conversion rates/Subscriber growth/Channel performance
• Translate insights into actionable growth strategies
6. Sponsorship & Revenue Integration
• Partner with Corporate Partnerships to:
• Package audience growth into sponsor value
• Create sponsor-supported acquisition campaigns
• Integrate brands into DTC growth initiatives
• Help quantify and communicate audience value:
• Impressions/reach/targeting capabilities
7. Partnerships & Distribution Growth
• Identify external growth channels:
• Media partnerships/Influencers/creators/Platform partnerships
• Explore bundling or promotional partnerships
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Marlins.tv subscriber growth (net new and total)
• Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC)
• Conversion rate (visit ? subscriber)
• Trial-to-paid conversion rate
• Revenue per subscriber
• LTV/CAC ratio
• Channel-level performance (paid, owned, organic)
• Audience growth tied to sponsorship inventory value
