Analyst, Residuals

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. ("MGM") is seeking a Junior Financial Analyst, Residuals to monitor and set-up new titles in the MGM residuals system and be responsible for the regular processing of residuals payments. The ideal candidate will also provide research and analytical support to the residuals forecasting and claims functions.

Responsibilities:

• Gathering and evaluating documents and information required for new product set-up in MGM residuals systems and third-party residuals servicers
• Entering and/or reviewing data input into system
• Preparing pro-ration analyses for new titles
• Supporting the quarterly and off-cycle residuals payment processes
• Calculating and entering gross receipts and payment adjustments
• Supporting month-end diligence of data mapped into the participations and residuals system
• Diligent involvement in the quarterly closes
• Preparing claims analysis and supporting the audit team as required
• Providing research and analysis in response to ad-hoc requests

Requirements:
• B.A./B.S. with a major or minor in Accounting, Business, or Finance preferred
• Prior employment or internship experience in Accounting, Finance, Participations or Residuals department preferred
• Excellent listening skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with Excel or computer programming
• Strong analytical, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to take initiative, multi-task, and commit to project follow through
