SEEKING: CASTING & MEDIA ASSISTANT

This is an opportunity to work directly with Pat McCorkle, CSA, and casting partner Jeffrey Dreisbach on a wide range of theatre, film and television projects, while also supporting media, teaching, podcasting and organizational initiatives.

CASTING & ENTERTAINMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with theatre, film and television casting projects. Communicate professionally with actors, agents, managers and other industry representatives. Assist with auditions, scheduling, correspondence and project organization. Maintain casting materials, databases and project information. Work with platforms including Actors Access and IMDB Pro. Participate in Zoom and other digital casting/media activities. Assist the casting team with day-to-day administrative and project needs. Work collaboratively while demonstrating initiative and the ability to anticipate needs.

MEDIA, PODCAST & TEACHING RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist Jeffrey Dreisbach with podcast, teaching, workshop and author-related activities. Maintain calendars and schedules for workshops, classes, teaching engagements and promotional activities. Assist with social media, marketing and communications. Maintain professional correspondence with clients, students, followers and event organizers. Assist with promotional materials and digital communications. Help coordinate multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for someone who is:

Extremely organized and detail-oriented. An excellent communicator with strong writing and proofreading skills. A confident multitasker who can manage competing priorities. Comfortable working independently while functioning as part of a small, collaborative team. Knowledgeable about theatre, film and television, with an understanding of actors and talent representatives. Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel and comfortable learning new technology and digital platforms. Familiar with Actors Access, IMDB Pro, Zoom and social media platforms. Professional, dependable, discreet and able to handle confidential information. Genuinely interested in the entertainment industry and eager to learn.

Previous experience in casting, theatre, film/television production, talent representation, arts administration or a related entertainment field is strongly preferred.

Employment: Full-time Salary: $52,000 annually Benefits: The position does not include employer-sponsored health insurance, retirement benefits or other supplemental benefits.
