LiveStyle also owns and operates Beatport, the preeminent e-commerce platform for DJs, producers, and dance music fans that helps launch the careers of the best underground artists and define global music culture.
The Team:
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team is dedicated to providing accurate and timely information to senior management and ownership to make informed business decisions. This team is also expected to regularly collect financial information from each of the Company's business units to help them monitor performance and identify trends.
The Role:
The FP&A Analyst will assist each individual business unit in creating standardized forecasting and consolidating processes. Direct responsibilities include maintaining internal forecasts, preparing and communicating monthly/quarterly financial reports to management team and partners, tracking operational performance, and managing light accounting close activities with the accounting department. As the Company grows, the role will require the preparation of merger and acquisition models. This individual will report directly to Director of FP&A as well as VP of Finance.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and long-range P&L consolidation process, budget and forecast, including:
• P&L variance analyses
• Monthly budget reforecast based on analysis of actual spend
• Preparation and distribution of budget quarterly report to management team
• Perform ad-hoc analysis at the request of senior management
• Create, maintain, and manage financial model to run organizational planning scenarios
• Analyze and communicate workforce information to leadership to inform key business decisions
Essential Qualifications:
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in financial modeling, forecasting, analysis, business development, and/or consulting
• Understanding of the Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, and reporting skills
• High proficient in Excel (including macros)
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills, and an aptitude in presenting findings with internal and external audiences
• Strong attention to detail without losing sight of long-term goals
• Aptitude to develop and implement new operational processes
• Ability to monitor financial metrics and reports, identify and resolve issues
• Ability to work well independently, in teams, and with our business unit leaders
• Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
• Ability to efficiently manage multiple responsibilities and projects at once
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
• Experience with LucaNet and NetSuite is a huge plus
Required Education
Bachelor's degree required (emphasis in Business, Finance or Accounting preferred)
