Summary of Position
Lionsgate’s Digital team is seeking a Shooter/Editor to support the creation of creator-driven, YouTube-first video content. This role is production-forward, with a strong emphasis on shooting DSLR content both in-studio and on location. The ideal candidate is comfortable behind the camera, understands how to capture engaging social-first visuals, and can also edit content into compelling mid- and long-form stories optimized for YouTube and social platforms.
The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, adaptable, and excited about producing content that feels native to today’s creator ecosystem while supporting premium entertainment brands.
This is a contract position with the potential to convert to a full-time role based on performance and business needs.
Responsibilities
• Shoot DSLR-based video content in studio and on location (interviews, hosted segments, creator-style formats, BTS, social integrations)
• Capture high-quality audio and lighting setups for both controlled and fast-paced production environments
• Produce and execute creator-driven content formats aligned with YouTube and social trends
• Edit mid- and long-form YouTube content, episodic cuts, and social extensions
• Shape content using platform-native storytelling techniques (hooks, pacing, retention-focused structure)
• Collaborate with Digital Strategy, Social, and Creative teams to ensure alignment with brand and performance goals
• Support formatting, versioning, and delivery across YouTube and supporting social platforms
• Iterate quickly based on creative and performance feedback
Qualifications and Skills
• 2–4 years of professional experience shooting and editing digital content
• Strong DSLR shooting skills (studio and field production experience required)
• Experience producing and capturing creator-style or influencer-driven content
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; basic After Effects knowledge a plus
• Solid understanding of YouTube formats and social viewing behavior
• Strong visual storytelling instincts and ability to work independently on set
• Experience working in fast-paced production environments
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
Nice to Haves
• Experience lighting interview setups or multi-camera shoots
• Familiarity with YouTube analytics and retention metrics
• Basic thumbnail or graphic design experience (Photoshop)
• Experience working with entertainment or branded content
Salary/Benefits
$80,000 - $85,000 /year USD
