Search for Director, Global Marketing Strategy jobs in Santa Monica-CA
The Director of Marketing Strategy must be an organized and highly creative individual, with a passion for theatrical films and experience in entertainment marketing. He/she will work alongside the Research and Analytics Team, synthesizing insights to build strategic marketing plans for multiple concurrent theatrical film releases. He/She will also work collaboratively with creative advertising, social media, paid media, publicity, partnerships and international marketing teams, tying together a holistic cohesive strategy, communicating said strategy expertly, and serving as a resource to all teams in the pursuit of executing high-profile and globally visible theatrical film marketing campaigns.
Responsibilities:
• Craft the overall marketing strategy using data driven insights and KPIs to maximize box office results
• Communicate the strategy to all marketing disciplines, senior executives and outside stakeholders
• Develop trusted relationships with marketing stakeholders, conduct market research, track and compile industry trends and competitive analysis to inform marketing strategies
• Ensure strategy is maintained across all marketing initiatives and communication
• Write strategic briefs and presentations
• Remain at the forefront of shifts & trends in the marketplace
Experience & Skills:
• 4-6 years of experience in a highly analytical and creative environment (e.g. strategy and analysis in an entertainment/digital media/consumer products or services company, top management consulting firm).
• Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills, and strong sense of professionalism.
• Analytical thought partner, extremely detail oriented.
• Skills and experiences as a cross-functional partner, collaborator, and communicator.
• Visual design expertise, and strong presentation building prowess (Keynote, Powerpoint, Google Docs, InDesign, etc.)
• Experience with digital marketing planning, audience development, or developing customer acquisition strategies
• Intellectual curiosity with an ability to turn analysis into actionable insights to guide decision making
• Prior experience in entertainment/media, technology, and/or marketing a plus
• Ability to handle conflict appropriately, know when to delegate issues cross-functionally, and when to apply common sense
• Understanding of the full marketing mix
