Position Title: Director/VP, Features Business & Legal Affairs

Summary
Legendary Entertainment is seeking to hire a Director (possible VP depending on experience) to support our Features Business & Legal Affairs group. This role is responsible for negotiating, structuring, and drafting complex development, production, distribution, rights acquisitions, and other agreements for Legendary’s feature motion picture business and legal affairs.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for all phases of negotiations on projects in development, production and post-production
• Negotiate and draft development, talent, production, post-production, financing, co-financing, and distribution agreements
• Support the development, implementation, and administering of business and legal policies and procedures relating to feature films
• Work regularly with management, creative, sales, production, marketing and finance departments to provide information, business and legal advice, and consultation services relating to feature films
• Analyze business and legal issues related to development, production, financing and distribution of feature film projects
Experience & Skills
• JD, top tier law school preferred
• At least 5-10 years of experience working in a film studio or major indie production company business & legal affairs, and/or entertainment law firm
• At least 5-10 years of experience in feature film development, production, financing and distribution
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and organizational skills; experience drafting and negotiating all manner of contracts for feature film development, production, finance, and distribution; extensive experience with copyright and trademark matters
• Effective collaboration
• Admitted to CA Bar
