KSTU Fox 13 News in beautiful Salt Lake City, Utah has an immediate opening for a part-time/freelance reporter.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a competitive journalist who fights for the lead story, brings ideas to the table daily, cultivates sources and “owns” social media. The ability to shoot, write and edit your own stories is highly desirable, but not required.

Qualifications

Candidate must have strong storytelling skills and an energetic/creative delivery. We are looking for someone who is enterprising and passionate about news.

Ideal candidate should handle breaking news and live shots with ease, while also being able to dig deep into a variety of topics for compelling, promotable reports with high production value.

Candidate must have very strong social media skills and able to contribute on all platforms.

A college degree and a minimum of two years of television news reporting experience is preferred. Hours will vary week-to-week.

Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
