Job Title: Ballpark Operations Assistant
Job Summary: Position is responsible for covering Kansas City Royals home games providing support to all departments in the game day operations of Kauffman Stadium. On non-event days, this position will be responsible for various tasks around the ballpark as needed. Position is paid hourly and reports to the Stadium Operations Coordinator.
Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
• Work closely with Engineering and Stadium Services Departments
• Keep regular track of daily work orders, preventative maintenance and reports
• Conduct walkthrough of entire facility recording & following up on repairs and maintenance items
• Administrative and clerical duties in support of Stadium Operations Department
• Execute set-up & tear down of special event requests and assist Stadium Operations Coordinator.
• Keep running inventory of ballpark furniture, stadium seat parts, stadium seat fixes, and other miscellaneous items
• Conduct seat fixes when a seat is reported broken
• Other related duties as assigned
Position Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required:
• Bachelor's degree preferably
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently, prioritize and handle multiple projects
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Possess a professional attitude that is customer service oriented
• Attention to detail
• Effective written, telephone & verbal communication skills
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift items weighing as much as 50 pounds
• Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times
• Specific vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus
• Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility to access the office, concourse, etc.
• Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends and some holidays as required by deadlines, home games, and event scheduling
