The Growlers play at Homer Stryker Field, a 3,000-seat park located in Kalamazoo's Mayors Riverfront Park. The Northwoods League, in which the Growlers compete, is a summer baseball league featuring top college players from across North America, known for having more teams, playing more games, and attracting more fans than any other Summer Collegiate Baseball League in the region. Each team operates similarly to a professional minor league team, providing players with the opportunity to play under professional conditions, including the use of wooden bats and minor league specification baseballs, while experiencing overnight road trips and performing before large crowds.
