
Public Relations Manager

JYP America is seeking an experienced Public Relations Manager to lead external communications and media relations. This position will develop and execute publicity strategies, manage relationships with media outlets and PR agencies, and support reputation and risk management initiatives.
The ideal candidate has strong entertainment industry connections, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to external media and business inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Manage relationships with external PR agencies and communications partners
Develop and execute media relations and publicity strategies
Write, edit, and distribute press releases, media pitches, statements, talking points, and other communications materials
Pitch company, artist, and project news to relevant media outlets
Monitor media coverage and report on press activity, public sentiment, and emerging issues
Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, publicists, and entertainment industry professionals
Identify potential reputational risks and support crisis communication and risk management efforts
Coordinate with internal teams to maintain consistent and accurate external messaging
Support press events, interviews, media appearances, and promotional activities as needed
Qualifications
At least 5 years of professional experience in public relations, media relations, corporate communications, or a related field
Experience developing and executing media relations and publicity campaigns
Strong press release writing, editing, pitching, and media monitoring skills
Experience with crisis communications, reputation management, or risk management
Established relationships within the media or entertainment industry
Professional fluency in written and spoken English
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Sound judgment when handling sensitive or confidential information
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the entertainment, music, media, or a related industry
Prior experience working for a media organization, entertainment company, or public relations agency
Experience supporting artists, executives, entertainment projects, or consumer-facing brands
Korean language proficiency is a plus

$85,000.00
- 120,000.00
