This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship
Internship Start Date/Season: Flexible. Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.
Internship Duration: 3 months +
Time/Days Required: Flexible. 10 + hours a week.
Workplace Requirements: Remote.
JP Literary, an independent scouting firm finding material for several top producers in Hollywood, is looking for candidates with passionate interests in publishing and film for seasonal internships. Come learn the ropes of book-to-film scouting from a team led by one of the original Hollywood scouts.
Prior experience in any capacity for a publisher, film company, agency, etc. is welcome but not required.
Candidate must have strong reading comprehension and writing skills.
Duties will include:
Reading manuscripts with an eye toward adaptation
Writing one-page synopses of manuscripts
Rating manuscripts on a Pass/Consider/Recommend scale and including comments
Light Database management
Reading various online magazines/newspapers/websites with an eye toward adaptation
