PR INTERN (PAID) - LOS ANGELES
This is an outstanding opportunity for a PR intern to join a leading digital entertainment and brand marketing agency.
The Company
Think Jam is an award-winning digital marketing agency providing products and services for U.K., U.S. and international clients across the entertainment industries and consumer brands sectors. The company's U.K. and U.S. offices employ a combined workforce of over 75 people, and deliver a complete range of digital consultancy, creative and communications services.
The Role
We are looking for a talented intern to support our online and social media activities within our LA office. You will have a love for digital media, social networks and consumer sites. You'll need to be creative, a team player, hard working, detail orientated, have excellent written skills and be calm under pressure. This is an exciting and varied role.
Responsibilities will include:
• Tracking and taking screenshots of daily campaign coverage
• Compiling target lists of websites and blogs according to campaign specification and marketing and communications strategies
• Researching media contacts, websites, writers and bloggers and maintaining our internal database
• Assisting with writing of custom editorial
• Researching relevant brand partners
• Attending and contributing constructively to internal company meetings and brainstorms
• Supporting and reporting to senior management
• Additional administrative tasks which will be determined daily
The ideal candidate will have the following experience, attributes & skills
• Good knowledge, understanding and interest in the movie industry - both theatrical and home entertainment - and the desire to keep up-to-date on relevant news, technological developments and innovations
• Understand and be interested in PR, the digital landscape, social media, new platforms and new technology
• Understand and be interested in the rapidly growing 'blogger boom'
• Team player
• A creative and analytical thinker
• Excellent written skills, communication, planning and organizational skills
• Excellent timekeeping and effective time management
• Self- starter, well organized, resourceful with good attention to detail
• Positive approach to all challenges
• Computer literate
