Deluxe Digital Cinema is a world-wide market-leader in digital cinema mastering and delivery/logistics services. Our clients include all major motion picture studios as well as a number of independent studios. The Deluxe Digital Cinema software team develops applications that enable Deluxe’s rapidly growing, world-wide digital cinema business. These applications play a key role in supporting our major cinema studio clients and have a profound impact on our business growth.

We currently have an opening for a Senior Software Engineer. This position will be located in Burbank, CA.

Summary:

The Software Team is looking for a talented, creative and motivated full-time Senior Software Engineer to help grow Deluxe's fast-growing digital cinema business. The work is challenging, creative, fast paced and intellectually stimulating. Strong analytical skills, entrepreneurial spirit, ability to work in a rapidly changing environment and a strong commitment to teamwork are a best fit for this position.

Responsibilities:

- Design, code, and support new and existing Digital Cinema tools and applications.

- Assume a leadership role in the Software Team, ensuring professional code, control and quality standards.

- Work with business development and upper management to integrate software roadmap into business plan.

Requirements:

- BS or MS in EE, Computer Science or equivalent (PhD a plus).

- Minimum of 5-7 years of software experience, with a focus on either front-end or infrastructure/backend development.

- Extensive experience programming in C/C++, Java or similar. Programming experience in Python a big plus.

- Experience in database programming; PostgreSQL preferred.

- Extensive knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.

- Knowledge of secure architectures and programming.

- Knowledge of TCP/IP and network programming.

- Experience developing/designing medium to large software systems.

- Experience with open source frameworks or tools such as Django, PHP and JQuery.
