Network Engineer

This is a Full Time Job

Responsibilities:

Monitor and Troubleshoot server and network performance

Work on help desk support tickets and communicate status to customers, supervisor.

Prepare and perform disaster recovery rehearsals

Mount, setup and configure new servers and network gears

Provide documentation on procedures and status of all duties

Interface effectively with other IS personnel and Corporate personnel as necessary

Work on projects and manage consultants

Support multiple locations with clients ranging from 3 to 400

Setup, implement, and maintain network services such as Samba, DNS, DHCP and WINS

Monitor daily backups, perform restores as needed

This position will be part of 24x7 On-call technical team and will be required to provide off hours support for planned and unplanned maintenance.

Travel may be required to co-location datacenter and other remote offices

Requirements:

Ability to independently troubleshoot SUSE and Redhat Linux, Windows Servers, EMC Storage (SAN and NAS), Cisco, Avaya / Nortel, Riverbed, Aruba, MPLS, EMC SANS, NAS, and AD.

In depth knowledge of inter-networking concepts topologies, communications protocols (TCP/IP, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, Ethernet, Frame Relay, and other network protocols).

Candidates must possess good organizational and communication skills, and be service oriented.

Minimum 2 years hands on experience working with HP Proliant and Dell PowerEdge servers

Minimum 3 years hands on experience working with SUSE Linux, Redhat, Windows 2003 and 2008 servers

Minimum 3 years hands on experience with Active Directory and group policy

Minimum 3 years hands on experience with DNS, WINS and DHCP

Minimum 1 year hands on experience with Symantec Netbackup, EMC SAN, EMC NAS and Brocade Fabric Switch

Experience with Windows Clustering

Experience with Disaster Recovery

Experience with Windows 2003, and 2008

Experience with Citrix Farm administration
